Exoskeletons are only as good as the number of people you can put them on. ROAM changed the paradigm by producing functional exoskeletons at affordable prices. Doing so required a new market approach in terms of value proposition, brand and target audiences.

WDP X developed ROAM’s brand story, logo, and visual identity based on the fundamental insight that technology becomes inclusive and engaging only when we apply it to people and their lives.

We chose the brand’s color scheme carefully based on this uncompromising human focus in the brand’s vision, and with the end user in mind. Natural red, grey, and beige colors alongside highly legible typography prove the brand’s accessibility. Furthermore, it provides built-in distinction in the brand’s highly technical field, which in itself adds value to the brand. The name and logo were created with these properties in mind.

WDP X is excited (but not surprised) to see this former Otherlab vertical flourish at break-neck speed, and the market has seen the potential as well: in the fall of 2018, ROAM raised an impressive USD 12 million funding round to continue their journey to move people around the world.
